The Franklin County Historical Society – Kittochtinny is headquartered in the Old Jail on King St. in historic Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. The society offers tours of the Old Jail and John Brown House Museums and access to our extensive Franklin County Genealogy Library.
The society serves as a valuable resource for genealogical researchers, history enthusiasts, and the community at large, preserving and showcasing the rich heritage of Franklin County.

Civil War Graves Walking Tour
Cedar Grove Cemetery ~ Chambersburg, PA
This self-guided tour takes visitors through the 170 year old cemetery where many townspeople took refuge during the Burning of Chambersburg in 1864.
This tour highlights memorials of several Civil War Soldiers, significant Civil War Era townspeople, and even two Confederate soldiers.
